As for you, son of man, obey me when I speak to you: be not rebellious like this house of rebellion,
but open your mouth and eat what I shall give you…an irresponsible behavior I have, and one that experts say has gravely damaged the natural environment, is eating a diet that consists largely of non-plant protein; even so, I’m trying to work towards the common good by grilling corn-on-the-cob grown by Gee Family Farms and all natural beef raised by Schulte Beef of Nazareth. Both were seasoned with Troop’s Famous Trooper Seasoning, and all were purchased at the Golden Spread Farmers Market…
R. How sweet to my taste is your promise that Nothing in this world is indifferent to us
In the way of your decrees I rejoice by “eliminating the structural causes of the dysfunctions of the world economy and correcting models of growth which have proved incapable of ensuring respect for the environment”.
R. How sweet to my taste is your promise that Nothing in this world is indifferent to us
R. Yes, your decrees are my delight; because the world cannot be analyzed by isolating only one of its aspects, since “the book of nature is one and indivisible”, and includes the environment, life, sexuality, the family, social relations, and so forth.
R. How sweet to my taste is your promise that Nothing in this world is indifferent to us
The law of your mouth, that “the deterioration of nature is closely connected to the culture which shapes human coexistence”, is to me more precious
than thousands of gold and silver pieces.
R. How sweet to my taste is your promise that Nothing in this world is indifferent to us
Your decrees, that both (the natural and social environment) are ultimately due to the same evil: the notion that there are no indisputable truths to guide our lives, and hence human freedom is limitless; the joy of my heart they are.
R. How sweet to my taste is your promise that Nothing in this world is indifferent to us
I gasp with open mouth, that we have forgotten that “man is not only a freedom which he creates for himself. Man does not create himself. He is spirit and will, but also nature”.
R. How sweet to my taste is your promise that Nothing in this world is indifferent to us

The same adoration occurs at St. Thomas the Apostle Church in Amarillo. Contact them if you would like to take part.
R. Alleluia, alleluia.
Take my yoke upon you and learn from me,
for I am meek and humble of heart. instead of harming creation by believing “where we ourselves have the final word, where everything is simply our property and we use it for ourselves alone.”
R. Alleluia, alleluia.

“Who is the greatest in the Kingdom of heaven?”
MT 18: 1
The misuse of creation begins when we no longer recognize any higher instance than ourselves, when we see nothing else but ourselves”.
