Saturday of the Thirty-first Week in Ordinary Time | USCCB

In the Apostolic Exhortation Evangelii Gaudium, I noted that the practical relativism typical of our age (i.e., March for Life supporting Senator Lindsey Graham’s abortion bill because it, “…is the least we can do to protect women, … as well as in line with where Americans stand on the issue.”) is “even more dangerous than doctrinal relativism”.

Pope Francis, Laudato si’, III. THE CRISIS AND EFFECTS OF MODERN ANTHROPOCENTRISM, Practical relativism, paragraph 122
With Roe overturned, march will focus on Congress, laws to end abortion

Since I have not…

“learned the secret of being well fed and of going hungry, of living in abundance and of being in need.”

Phil 4: 12

…it is convenient when my conscience allows me to vote for the party which gives the strength for everything through the candidate who empowers me.

My conscience may fear the Lord…

His heart is steadfast; he shall not fear.
Lavishly he gives to the poor;
his generosity shall endure forever;
his horn shall be exalted in glory.

Ps 112: 8-9

…but I fear inflation, crime, illegals, voter fraud, higher taxes…and so I use practical relativism to convince myself that a limited amount of abortion is a small matter in comparison!

After all, didn’t Jesus Christ become poor so that I might become rich⁉️

“You justify yourselves in the sight of others,
but God knows your hearts;
for what is of human esteem is an abomination in the sight of God.”

Lk: 16:15
