I am quite certain that the One who began this good work in you will see that it is finished when the Day of Christ Jesus comes.
LToday’s Office First Reading Philippians 1:1-11
Many desire to come into this joy, knowing that you are saved by grace, not by works, – not by your actions but by the will of God through Jesus Christ.
Today’s Office Second Reading From a letter of St Polycarp to the Philippians
In the fourth year and 33rd day since Bishop Zurek posted on the Diocesan Website that the “few” , I included, were not among the faithful and loyal disciples at St. Mary’s Cathedral that the Lord Jesus desires; thus beginning the burning away of even my virtues…

…during the 44th day of waiting for Pope Francis to accept Bishop Zurek ‘s resignation…
…and on this 31st day of the Season of Creation, I’m asking…

Responsorial Psalm
…for which way keeps me remembering your mercies, Lord: the bishop’s MAGA way that constantly protests the sins of youth gender identity and the frailties of the LGBTQ, yet is silent about the MAGA use of the violence of abortion to get the votes it needs; or the Synodal way which shows sinners the way…

Gospel

…so, what should be my opinion of which one is doing the Father’s will: me saying no to the Synod because I’d be schismatic, but afterwards, instead of listening to Bishop Strickland, changing my mind and listening to the marginalized; or me saying yes to being pro-life, but like Bishops Zurek and Strickland, saying or doing nothing about MAGA aborting innocents for political gain❓

From September 1 – October 4, the Christian family unites worldwide in prayer and action for creation during the Season of Crelation. The 2023 theme is “Let Justice and Peace Flow.”
“in this Season of Creation, as followers of Christ on our shared synodal journey, we may live, work, and pray so that our common home will teem with life once again.”
Pope Francis

When we fail to acknowledge as part of reality the worth of a poor person, a human embryo, a person with disabilities – to offer just a few examples – it becomes difficult to hear the cry of nature itself; everything is connected.
Laudato si, paragraph 117
