Thursday of the Ninth Week in Ordinary Time

“Which is the first of all the commandments❓”

From Today’s Gospel, Mark 12:28

Am I following “the first of all the commandments” when I participate in Bishop Zurek’s clericalism and follow Fr. Tony who has Masses, confessions and even people canceled at St. Mary’s Cathedral ❓

I need to go to Mass everyday. This is especially true for when I am traveling as I have been for the last week or so. One of the first things I do when I get to a new place is an internet search for “Catholic churches near me”. Invariably what turns up first is a button with “Mass Times”, just as this button on the St. Mary’s Cathedral website does;…

… however, when there is a priest such as Fr. Tony who seems to have lost his “priestly spirit” and no longer bears “with everything for the sake of those who are chosen” by looking after his own self interests by having Mass, confessions and people canceled, doesn’t it make for a struggle to remember that even though a priest is unfaithful,  Jesus Christ remains faithful;…

… nevertheless, the Holy Spirit teaches “me your ways, O Lord”;…

…thus reminding me that “Our Savior Jesus Christ has destroyed death and brought life to light through the Gospel“;…

… consequently, the clericalism that messed with all my heart, with all my soul, with all my mind,
and with all my strength is transformed by Love into love for God and my neighbor;…

…thus, how can I any longer follow Bishop Zurek’s commandments to participate in his clericalism that Fr. Tony uses to have Masses, confessions and people canceled and threatens to take me far from the Kingdom of God ❓
