A working tool for the Second Session
Starting in the late summer of 2018, after Bishop Zurek made a statement that covered up the Diocese of Amarillo’s connection with the abuse scandal in the Diocese of Philadelphia, I began writing private letters to Bishop Zurek that told him of his faults…He did not listen; subsequently, some months later I joined, “a few” others at St. Mary’s Cathedral who were testifying as to His Excellency’s sin of clericalism…He refused to listen, and even wrote the parish about our need to practice, “Passive Charity” and, “not criticize”; consequently, believing as St. Maximilian Kolbe did, “that Christians must fight for the world’s salvation with all the means of modern communication“, I took to social media to, “tell the Church“; besides, is not, “this path of synodality “, that will, “let us go up to the mountain of the Lord“; moreover, is not, “Passive Charity”, just a, “disease called ‘indifferentism‘”; furthermore, is it not “obedience and obedience alone that shows us God’s will with certainty. Of course our superiors may err, but it cannot happen that we, holding fast to our obedience, should be led into error by this“; therefore, can I not say that though, “Our journey has been characterized by silence, prayer, listening to the Word of God, dialogue and joyful encounters. It has not been without difficulties. “❓
A good Christian is known for three things: Prayer, ordinary, everyday acts of Charity and Passive Charity that is “Love one another and do not criticize each other.” He said the same for a Good Parish with the emphasis on Passive Charity; “Love one another and do not criticize each other.”
