The Church, People of God, sacrament of unity

“‘Christ is the light of the nations’ (VATICAN COUNCIL II, Dogm. Const. Lumen Gentium paragraph 1, 21 November 1964), and this light shines on the face of the Church, which ‘is in Christ as a sacrament or instrumental sign of intimate union with God and of the unity of all humanity’ (ibid.); so, is St. Mary’s Cathedral being, “Like the moon,” which, “shines with reflected light“, by receiving, “the responsibility of“, not just providing sacraments, but by, “being the sacrament of bonds, relationships and communion in service to the unity of all humanity.”; Therefore, isn’t our parish understanding, “its mission self-referentially”, when, “in carrying out ministries and charisms,” we start, “living out one’s calling in an elitist manner, closing oneself within one’s own group“, at a Sod Poodles Night, “and erecting walls towards the outside” by having confessions canceled; indeed, “in times now dominated by the crisis of participation, the absence of a sense that we have a common destiny, and a too-often individualistic conception of happiness and, therefore, of salvation“, are we going to participate in Bishop Zurek’s clericalism, that “leads us to be ‘merchants of the spirit’, men clothed in sacred forms who in reality continue to think and act according to the fashions of the world” with the Sod Poddies, or will we live out this mission in which St. Mary’s Cathedral, “communicates God’s plan to unite all humanity to Himself in salvation“; however, “In doing so, it does not proclaim itself “but Christ Jesus the Lord” (2 Cor 4:5). If this were not so, it would lose its being in Christ “as a sacrament” (cf. LG 1) and therefore, its own identity and raison d’être. On the way to fullness, the Church is the sacrament of the Kingdom of God in the world“❓

…finally, isn’t, “the way human beings contrive to feed their self-destructive vices: trying not to see them, trying not to acknowledge them, delaying the important decisions and pretending that nothing will happen.“, the same way that Bishop Zurek’s clericalism tells him that no harm can come from having confessions canceled and hiding it behind the religious motive of loving, “your neighbor as yourself.“❓
