Monday of the Twenty-second Week in Ordinary Time

Does Bishop Zurek believe that by simply reposting his reflection to the top of the diocesan news our consciences will become informed on the proposed “Abortion Trafficking” ordinance❓

How can Bishop Zurek’s reflection, Abortion: The Scriptures And Discrimination, be “fulfilled in (our) hearing” “Today, when “those questions which are troubling us today” regarding a proposed ordinance in the Diocese of Amarillo, “that would declare Amarillo a ‘sanctuary city for the unborn’ and ban people from helping patients travel through Amarillo to access abortions”, is swept “under the carpet”; consequently, in doing this, isn’t Bishop Zurek building “a Church in which all members can(NOT) feel co-responsible” for our mission, ” to the Dignity of all human life… Born and unborn!“❓

Sisters and brothers in Christ: a renewed reciprocity
Paragraph 14
Has Bishop Zurek been building a Church in which all members can feel co-responsible” since he opening the
Synod at St. Mary’s Cathedral in October of 2021❓

Bishop Zurek said he wrote, Abortion: The Scriptures And Discrimination, “…because I am tired of hearing that the Holy Scriptures say nothing about abortion; accordingly, “In this sense, (isn’t) the first change to be made…one of mentality: a conversion to a vision of relationality, interdependence and reciprocity between women and men, who are sisters and brothers in Christ, oriented to a common mission“(Il);…

…however, by Bishop Zurek not informing our consciences about the proposed “abortion trafficking ban“, does not, “The communion, participation and mission of the Church suffer the consequences of a failure to transform relationships and structures“(Il);…

therefore, what kind of place does Bishop Zurek want his diocese to be when, ” As a contribution of a Latin American Episcopal Conference notes: ‘a Church in which all members can feel co-responsible is also an attractive and credible place‘”(Il)❓
