Bishop Zurek, for his part, called what Matthiesen did a ‘serious mistake,’ yet the memorial still remains.”

Was Bishop Zurek required to “hold” a consultation with the People of God before he built another bishop’s residence❓
Walk with the Paradoxical Pastoralist—where Laudato si', honest questions, and Lectio Divina meet.

Was Bishop Zurek required to “hold” a consultation with the People of God before he built another bishop’s residence❓
Indeed, shouldn’t Bishop Zurek invite those on the margins to offer their insights on:

“ In a synodal Church, the responsibility of the bishop, the College of bishops and the Roman Pontiff to make decisions is inalienable since it is rooted in the hierarchical structure of the Church established by Christ. However, it is not unconditional.” Therefore, doesn’t it seem that Bishop Zurek is disregarding the condition of holding a consultation with the People of God to ensure his decisions “Do nothing out of selfishness or out of vainglory;‘”❓
“An orientation that emerges in the consultative process as the outcome of proper discernment, especially if carried out by the participatory bodies of the local Church, cannot be ignored.” Accordingly, by Bishop Zurek by refusing to “hold” a consultative process, hasn’t Bishop Zurek also denied himself the peace of being able to say, “In you, O Lord, I have found my peace.“❓

Alleluia, alleluia,
” The aim of synodal ecclesial discernment is not to make the bishops obey the voice of the people, subordinating the former to the latter, nor to offer the bishops an expedient to make decisions that have already been taken seem more acceptable, but rather to lead to a shared decision in obedience to the Holy Spirit. Any opposition between consultation and deliberation is therefore inadequate: in the Church, deliberation takes place with the help of all, never without the pastoral authority that takes decisions by virtue of its office. For this reason, the recurring formula in the Code of Canon Law, which speaks of a ‘consultative vote only’ (tantum consultivum), diminishes the value of consultation and should be corrected.” Consequently, regarding the “serious mistake” memorial, the letter, aborted Eucharists, and the house he built, shouldn’t Bishop Zurek “hold” a synodal ecclesial discernment process to ensure that “If you remain in my word, you will truly be my disciples, and you will know the truth, says the Lord.“❓
Alleluia, alleluia

Finally, what would induce Bishop Zurek, at this stage, to “hold” on to power only to be remembered for his “sins against synodality” which puts our new bishop in the position of having to “Just Say NO❣️” to being “put in his place” before he even arrives—at a time when we should…

Politics must pay greater attention to foreseeing new conflicts and addressing the causes which can lead to them. But powerful financial interests prove most resistant to this effort, and political planning tends to lack breadth of vision. What would induce anyone, at this stage, to “hold” on to power only to be remembered for their inability to take action when it was urgent and necessary to do so?
