Will I allow the powers that be to kill Jesus within me, or will I stand among those who are “hanging on his #words” as He drives out from the “places” my conscience identifies as needing to be “Areas of shared journeying,” in the Diocese of Amarillo“, “those who were selling things” that:
From Luke 19: 45-48
- Protect a memorial erected by a convicted pedophile priest for a bishop who made the “serious mistake” of granting that convict a second chance, ultimately leading to the destruction of the innocence of our youth;
- Maintain a letter on the diocesan website rebuking “a few” who reported abuse at St. Mary’s Cathedral;
- Abort daily Masses at St. Mary’s Cathedral, citing the need for “an incredible sense of Reverence for the…Priests and especially for the Bishops“, effectively leveraging the Eucharist as a means of power and control;
- Build another bishop’s residence, effectively putting our next bishop “in his place” before he even arrives ❓
XVI ORDINARY GENERAL ASSEMBLY
OF THE SYNOD OF BISHOPS
How to be a missionary synodal Church
Instrumentum laboris
Part III – Places
Areas of shared journeying
87.

Bishop Zurek, for his part, called what Matthiesen did a ‘serious mistake,’ yet the memorial still remains.”
“This reform must be conducted based on an understanding of the Church as the holy People of God, articulated in the communion of Churches (communio Ecclesiarum).” Accordingly, isn’t a memorial erected by a convicted pedophile priest for a bishop who made a “serious mistake” in a rural parish over a decade ago contrary to the understanding of the Church as the holy People of God, instead embodying the words, “but when I had eaten it, my stomach turned sour.“❓

“Experience has shown us that launching the synodal process in the local Churches does not compromise the unity of the whole Church but rather expresses the variety and universality of the People of God (cf. LG 22). Nor does it jeopardize but instead enhances the exercise of the Bishop of Rome’s ministry of unity.” Consequently, shouldn’t the letter, “A Reflection on Christian Life,” which spoke words that distanced “a few” who reported clergy abuse at St. Mary’s Cathedral from being part of the “faithful and loyal disciples that the Lord Jesus desires”, have instead expressed the variety and universality of the People of God and enhanced the bishop’s ministry of unity, so that together we might proclaim to God, “How sweet to my taste is your promise!“❓

Alleluia, alleluia, “We do not start thinking about the Church from its institutions. Indeed, these must be rethought in the logic of missionary service, including those at the highest level.” Subsequently shouldn’t the decision to abort the daily Eucharist at St. Mary’s Cathedral be reexamined through the lens of missionary service as a way of embodying Jesus’s words: “My sheep hear my voice, says the Lord; I know them, and they follow me.“❓
Alleluia, alleluia

Finally, in other words, do not human costs always include Church costs, and Church dysfunctions always involve human costs—particularly in the “places” within the Diocese of Amarillo that should be “Areas of shared journeying,” but remain affected by “sins against synodality❓These are the very sins that now place our new bishop in a position where he must “Just Say NO❣️” to being “put in his place.” …
…”because all the people were hanging on his words“❓

In other words, “human costs always include economic costs, and economic dysfunctions always involve human costs”.[105]
