Wednesday of the Seventh Week of Easter/ Optional Memorial of Saint Isidore

Is it clericalism for Bishop Zurek to demand that we pray, “Oh Jesus, give us priests according to your heart!”; and then “go against Jesus’s heart by letting down his #guard and allowing us to cancel confession at St. Mary’s Catholic Cathedral – Amarillo, TX  so that  those priests can be interviewed and throw out the first pitch at a Sod Poodles game❓…

Why wasn’t it stated in this Flocknote that confessions had be canceled due to this event❓

“…I guarded them, and none of them was lost…”

Today’s Gospel

Would I be denying a charism of the Holy Spirit, though it may be simple and more widespread as the most outstanding of charisms, if I with a sense of fear and apathy, do not serve the needs of the Church by speaking out about the Sacrament of Reconciliation being canceled

…and why shouldn’t I just spare myself a lot of blowback by not reminding Bishop Zurek to, “Keep watch over (yourself) and over the whole flock
of which the Holy Spirit has appointed you (overseer)”
,…

…for wouldn’t it be much easier for me to sing to God with the rest of the flock…

…if I don’t speak His words of truth in which I am consecrated

…and even if it means someone may not be guarded and be lost; a thing that isn’t, “according to (Jesus’s) heart!…

Notice on The Door to a Confessional at St. Mary’s Cathedral
Why does it have to be either-or❓Why can’t it be both-and❓
Are there not four priests who serve at the Cathedral❓
Why can’t one of them stay be at the Cathedral in order to guard the flock and, “keep them from the Evil One“.

Moreover, if some people are born into a country or family where they have fewer opportunities to develop, we should acknowledge that this is contrary to their dignity, which is the same dignity as that of those born into a wealthy family or country. We are all responsible for this stark inequality, albeit to varying degrees.

from paragraph 38 of Declaration of the Dicastery for the Doctrine of the Faith “Dignitas Infinita” on Human Dignity, 08.04.2024

…but if I don’t speak out to Bishop Zurek, will not my degree of responsibility for acting contrary to the dignity of people who are not within the inner circle of St. Mary’s Cathedral increase; but isn’t it so much easier to believe that it’s no sin of mine if they are simply among those who have fewer opportunities to know that confessions have been canceled…

At the same time, he (St. John Paul II) noted that little effort had been made to “safeguard the moral conditions for an authentic human ecology”.[6]

FROM PARAGRAPH 5 of ENCYCLICAL LETTER LAUDATO SI’ OF THE HOLY FATHER FRANCIS ON CARE FOR OUR COMMON HOME

…and so, why can’t I go on believing that I’m not culpable for not making any stronger effort to guard the moral conditions for an authentic human ecology for those who don’t know confessions have been canceled,…

or for the ecology of the Broadleaf Milkweed and the Monarch Butterfly
