Solemnity of Saints Peter and Paul, Apostles

This is a clear indication that this one of “the
few” has no intention to stop causing division in the Body of Christ. His line is
quite clear; he only wants division and disunity.

from Bishop Zurek’s Letter to St. Mary’s Cathedral, “A Reflection on Christian Life”

What can be done when Bishop Zurek and I don’t agree on who Jesus is❓

…,indeed, it is difficult when I say who Jesus is differs from a person whom “prayer by the Church is fervently being made to God on his behalf” daily;…

…furthermore, since, “The angel of the Lord will rescue those who fear him“, shouldn’t I also fear the one God has made my Bishop;…

… conversely, am I not called to compete well and “finish the race” I have been given;…

… therefore, if I remain built upon the rock that is Peter and  the Church, can I not expect that God can use me to help keep the gates of the netherworld prevailing against the Church…

…so, considering that Peter and Paul, as priests, helped us to  learn how to walk together and to set out on the path of synodality, “the path which God expects of the Church of the third millennium”, shouldn’t I use that same path of synodality to help Bishop Zurek and myself to come together on the question that Jesus asks, ““But who do you say that I am?”
