Three years on the road

Cannot Father Tony’s, “Beating of the Bounds” of St. Mary’s Cathedral, put us on the, “path of synodality”, by serving as a preparation of the Second Session of the Synod 2021-2024 which, “is necessarily based on the results of the First Session presented in the Synthesis Report” and differed greatly from the synthesis report of our Diocese which was imbued with the clericalism of Bishop Zurek which focused on developing a reverence for deacons, priests and especially bishops, instead of listening to the marginalized in or diocese who are being ignored even though they keep shouting after us with faith❓

Today’s Office of the Readings
We lose the capacity to realize “I, as a lay person, do not always have all the knowledge”; while it is quite probable that the deacon, priest or bishop has a much fuller picture of what is actually happening.
From a letter from Bishop Patrick J. Zurek to the Faith Community at St. Mary’s Cathedral, Amarillo.

Consistent with the circularity characterizing the whole synodal process and in order to provide a clear focus for the work of the Second Session, a further consultation of the local Churches was launched, guided by the question: “How to be a synodal Church in mission?“; however, I don’t recall St. Mary’s parish ever being consulted with this question; indeed, I believe that bishop Zurek, unless they donate large sums of money, does not consult with anyone who has not received the sacrament of Holy Orders, for does he not believe, “Are not (the laity) and the non-baptized all the same to me”; indeed, does he not need to be reminded, “Do not proclaim your own importance but keep a modest and humble mind. Do not seek to cover yourself in glory”;…

…nevertheless, “As the document Towards October 2024[3] explains, the objective of the consultation was ” to identify the paths we can follow and the tools we might adopt in our different contexts and circumstances in order to enhance the unique contribution of each baptized person and of each Church in the one mission of proclaiming the Risen Lord and his Gospel to the world today”, so that, “you shall go forth dancing with the merrymakers”…
Today’s Responsorial Psalm
…”also, “This is not, therefore, a request that limits you to a plan of technical or procedural improvements to make the Church’s structures more efficient, but rather an invitation for reflection on the concrete forms of the missionary commitment to which we are called, that express the dynamism between unity and diversity proper to a synodal Church”, in which, “The Lord will guard us as a shepherd guards his flock“;…

Today’s Alleluia
R. Alleluia, alleluia.
…indeed, “A great prophet has arisen in our midst
and God has visited his people;…
R. Alleluia, alleluia.
Today’s Gospel
..consequently, .”An authentic humanity, calling for a new synthesis, seems to dwell in the midst of our technological culture, almost unnoticed, like a mist seeping gently beneath a closed door”; therefore, can not I change the way Bishop Zurek operates with clericalism by encouraging St. Mary’s Cathedral to get out with Father Tony in, “Beating the Bounds”; and perhaps, he will not “Send me away, for I keep calling out after him.” with synodality❓
