Friday of the Twenty-second Week in Ordinary Time

Will I, along with Bishop Zurek, get so drunk on the “old” anti-abortion wine that we won’t even notice that here in the Diocese of Amarillo the new post Roe wine is being put into an old wineskin “ban“, and thus foreboding ruinous results for, “the Dignity of all human life… Born and unborn!“❓

Amarillo will decide in November on being ‘sanctuary city for the unborn’ as activists ready campaign against measure, but is Bishop Zurek so drunk on the old anti-abortion wine that he can’t respond to the biggest abortion fight presently in the country that is right here in his own diocese❓

At last year’s Respect Life Mass Bishop Zurek mentioned that some of the laity expressed the idea of having the day of the Respect Life Mass moved from around the anniversary of the Roe v Wade decision to around June 24th, the anniversary of Dobbs, which took away the constitutional right to an abortion. However , it seems that Bishop Zurek did not have any desire to drink the new wine of the post Roe era because we will keep the Respect Life Mass as is; however, is there any of the good ole’ wine to be had because, “Ever since Roe vs Wade was rendered unconstitutional by the Supreme Court the decision to continue to allow abortion or to forbid it was mandated to the individual States to make that determination“, and in the state of where the Diocese of Amarillo lies “Texas law already bans almost all abortions“❓
