Is it because Bishop Zurek doesn’t know how to, “love your enemies,” that he keeps “focused on bureaucracy” instead of informing our consciences about the upcoming vote on the “abortion trafficking” ordinance in our diocese❓

“Throughout the synodal process and from all regions of the globe, the request emerged for a Church less focused on bureaucracy and more capable of nurturing relationships with the Lord, between men and women, in the family, in the community, and between social groups“; nonetheless, here in the Diocese of Amarillo I am asking why Bishop Zurek seems to be more, “focused on bureaucracy” than, “nurturing relationships” when he does not inform our consciences about a proposed “abortion trafficking” ordinance. Our enemies tell us, “Travel bans harm communities. They harm the privacy of medical relationships. They do not help our communities to be strong and safe and supported.”; therefore, couldn’t voting for such an ordinance be a sin since, “When you sin in this way against your brothers and wound their consciences, weak as they are, you are sinning against Christ” ❓
“Only a web of relationships that weaves together the multiplicity of belongings can sustain individuals and communities, offering them points of reference and orientation and showing them the beauty of life according to the Gospel“; subsequently, is not Bishop Zurek missing an opportunity to enlarge the web of relationships in the Diocese of Amarillo by even including our enemies in a synodal process on the proposed “abortion trafficking” ordinance and then afterwards praying, “Guide me, Lord, along the everlasting way“❓

“It is in relationships – with Christ, with others, in the community – that faith is transmitted“, even to our enemies; indeed, “If we love one another, God remains in us, and his love is brought to perfection in us“❓

“Fraternal love can only be gratuitous; it can never be a means of repaying others for what they have done or will do for us. That is why it is possible to love our enemies.‘; accordingly, isn’t that why I am now encouraging Bishop Zurek to use gratuitousness instead of bureaucracy to revise his reflection, Abortion: The Scriptures And Discrimination, so that he uses Scripture to inform our consciences on the proposed “abortion trafficking” ordinance, and in the process not discriminate against, but “…love your enemies…”❓
