Is it that Bishop Zurek doesn’t “understand the nature of a synodal Church in mission” and just “wishes to save his life” that has him reflecting on, Abortion: The Scriptures and Discrimination, while not informing our consciences about the proposed “abortion trafficking” ordinance that has helped make our diocese “something of a ground zero for fights over abortion“; conversely, didn’t Pope Francis “take up his cross” as the successor of Peter by telling us who Jesus is by informing our consciences that both of our presidential candidates could end up losing because, “Whether it is the one who is chasing away migrants, or the one who that kills children, both are against life,”; so, could it be that Bishop Zurek “wishes” the same thing as Harris and Trump, “to save their life“❓
XVI ORDINARY GENERAL ASSEMBLY
OF THE SYNOD OF BISHOPS
How to be a missionary synodal Church
for the Second Session (October 2024)
Part I – Relations
In Christ and in the Spirit: Christian initiation
23.

“To understand the nature of a synodal Church in mission, it is indispensable to grasp this Trinitarian foundation, and in particular, the inextricable link between the work of Christ and the work of the Holy Spirit in human history and the Church: “It is the Holy Spirit, dwelling in those who believe and filling and ruling over the Church as a whole, who brings about that wonderful communion of the faithful. ‘”; nonetheless, here in the Diocese of Amarillo I am wondering if Bishop Zurek wishes to be among the, “shepherds who want to have the title of shepherd without wanting to fulfil a pastor’s duties“; nonetheless, the Holy Spirit brings the faithful ” into intimate union with Christ, so that he is the principle of the Church’s unity”; accordingly, isn’t this why it’s not Holy Orders, but “the process of Christian initiation of adults (that) is a privileged context for understanding the synodal life of the Church” ❓

The process of Christian initiation of adults “highlights its origin and foundation: the relationships that unite and distinguish the three divine Persons. With the baptismal gifts, the Holy Spirit conforms us to Christ, priest, prophet, and king, makes us members of His Body, which is the Church, and makes us children of the one Father“; subsequently, even if it is something that Bishop Zurek wishes to not happen, can it not still be that, “The Lord GOD opens my ear that I may hear;“❓
“Thus, we receive the call to mission and co-responsibility for what unites us in the one Church“; hence, even if Bishop Zurek wishes that I not receive the call, can I not proclaim to him, “I will walk before the Lord, in the land of the living!“❓
“Those (Baptismal) gifts have a threefold and inseparable orientation: personal, communal and missionary“, but since Bishop Zurek wishes for me to realize that, ‘I, as a lay person, do not always have all the knowledge’; while it is quite probable that the deacon, priest or bishop has a much fuller picture of what is actually happening“, should I not press him to inform my conscience as to the proposed “abortion trafficking” ordinance, “and I will demonstrate my faith to you from my works“❓
Alleluia, alleluia,
The Baptismal gifts “empower and commit every baptized man or woman to building cordial relationships, as sisters and brothers, in their own ecclesial community, to the search for an ever more visible and profound communion with all those with whom they share the same Baptism, and to the proclamation and witness of the Gospel“; thus, despite what Bishop Zurek wishes, “May I” do what I’m empowered to do, but “never boast except in the cross of our Lord through which the world has been crucified to me and I to the world“❓
Alleluia, alleluia

“Yet God, who wishes to work with us and who counts on our cooperation, can also bring good out of the evil we have done; therefore, what is there to gain by doing as Bishop Zurek wishes, even if he says I am doing evil, “For whoever wishes to save his life will lose it,“❓
