There was, “NO encounter with Jesus,” NO adherence in faith to his person,” and NO “celebration of the sacraments” on this Feast of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross in the Diocese of Amarillo today; consequently, was that because Bishop Zurek didn’t feel that he would have been “lifted up” as much as he is at his Cathedral’s, attendance required, annual Saturday Morning Respect Life Mass, as he would have been by respecting and covering an ailing, semi-retired priest’s obscure parish’s, sparsely attended, regularly scheduled, Saturday Morning Mass❓

“‘The pilgrim Church is missionary by her very nature, since it is from the mission of the Son and the mission of the Holy Spirit that she draws her origin, in accordance with the decree of God the Father‘”; nonetheless, here in the Diocese of Amarillo I am wondering from whom Bishop Zurek’s mission originates since he felt no need to celebrate the Feast of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross; moreover, was it because that in keeping, “this feast, we”, not just His Excellency himself, “are lifted up with the crucified Christ, leaving behind us earth and sin so that we may gain the things above“❓
“The encounter with Jesus, the adherence in faith to his person, and the celebration of the sacraments of Christian initiation lead us into the very life of the Trinity.“; subsequently, if Bishop Zurek continues to allow and even lifting up having, “the celebration of the sacraments” canceled, could not his flock give up on having, “the very life of the trinity”, “With their patience worn out by the journey“❓
“Through the gift of the Holy Spirit, the Lord Jesus enables those who receive Baptism to participate in his relationship with the Father“; however, how can we in the Diocese of Amarillo “participate in (Jesus’s) relationship with the Father”, when Bishop Zurek does not lift us up by celebrating a Feast Day; indeed, doesn’t he seem to have forgotten the commandment, “Do not forget the works of the Lord!“❓
“The Spirit with whom Jesus was filled and who led him (Lk 4:1), who anointed him and sent him out to proclaim the Gospel (Lk 4:18), who raised him from the dead (Rom 8:11) is the same Spirit who now anoints the members of the People of God“, but since Bishop Zurek answers my questions by telling me that I’m not lifting him up because I’ve lost, “the capacity to realize ‘I, as a lay person, do not always have all the knowledge’; while it is quite probable that the deacon, priest or bishop has a much fuller picture of what is actually happening“, can I not further ask if His Excellency if he also regards, “equality with God something to be grasped“❓

“This Spirit makes us children and heirs of God, and it is through the Spirit that we cry out to God, calling him “Abbà! Father!”“, yet here in the Diocese of Amarillo, is it because Bishop Zurek doesn’t have the Spirit what he doesn’t lift up the cross so that we can proclaim, “We adore you, O Christ, and we bless you, because by your Cross you have redeemed the world.“❓

“By contrast, if we feel intimately united with all that exists, then sobriety and care will well up spontaneously; accordingly, could Bishop Zurek not feeling that he is, “intimately united with all that exists,” explain why today, on the Feast of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross, he didn’t feel that just as himself, so must the Son of Man be lifted up,❓”
