Tuesday of the Twenty-fourth Week in Ordinary Time

Since Msgr. Waldow, hasn’t St. Mary’s Cathedral been a widow whose “only son” has died

XVI ORDINARY GENERAL ASSEMBLY

OF THE SYNOD OF BISHOPS

How to be a missionary synodal Church

Instrumentum laboris

for the Second Session (October 2024)

Part I – Relations
In Christ and in the Spirit: Christian initiation
25.

Since St. Mary’s became the Cathedral, hasn’t Bishop Zurek made a widow of his spouse by only being present for the “Eucharistic assembly” which “manifests and nourishes the missionary synodal life of the Church” only when Canon Law required it or when the spotlight was on him, such as at the Red or Respect Life Masses; even so, wasn’t this type of participation of the presidency of the bishop effective with “all Christians, in the presence of different ministries” at St. Mary’s as long as the widow had a son like Msgr. Waldow, as rector in which “the Christian community”  was “made visible,” and “in which a differentiated co-responsibility of all for the mission” was “realized”; consequently, now our pastor, Bishop Zurek, is “ being rebuked” by me: “What is the charge against” him; Isn’t it that he and our current rector “take the milk and clothe themselves with the wool but neglect the sheep from which these things come. They care not about Christ’s interests, but their own“❓

Indeed, didn’t Msgr Waldow, as the only son of the widow, live “The liturgy,” as “the high point towards which the activity of the Church is directed, and, simultaneously, the source from which all its power flows“, and thus remind Bishop Zurek to, “Strive eagerly for the greatest spiritual gifts“, “to be, first,” one of the “Apostles“❓

Furthermore, doesn’t it seem that Bishop Zurek, instead of using Liturgy at his Cathedral as “the source of the synodal life of the Church“, from which we proclaim, “We are his people: the sheep of his flock“, now only appears occasionally to use St. Mary’s as a stage for his “worldliness that defiles and damages the face of the Lord’s bride“, while simply allowing our rector to use the widowed Cathedral as a “bachelor priest” pad to crash at in between cruises and adventurous pilgrimages in Europe ❓

Alleluia, alleluia,
For example, how could the Widow, St. Mary’s Cathedral, possibly be a prototype of every synodal event, making the mystery of the Trinity appear “as in a mirror”, when this week her pastor, Bishop Zurek, is no where to be found; her rector is walking across Spain; and her parochial vicar is on retreat, “; consequently, will we at St. Mary’s ever be able to say again, “A great prophet has arisen in our midst and God has visited his people.“❓
Alleluia, alleluia
