Am I allowing an obsession with Bishop Zurek’s bad shepherding to crowd out my ability to grow in a deeper trust in the action of the Spirit❓
XVI ORDINARY GENERAL ASSEMBLY
OF THE SYNOD OF BISHOPS
How to be a missionary synodal Church
Part I – Relations
For the People of God: charisms and ministries
32.

“Also emphasized is the call to grow in a deeper trust in the action of the Spirit and greater courage and creativity in discerning how to put the gifts received and welcomed at the service of the Church’s mission in a way that is appropriate to different local contexts.“; consequently, since my local context is St. Mary’s Cathedral where Bishop Zurek is the pastor, how could my obsession with Bishop Zurek crowd out Jesus if that obsession is actually a call to put a gift I’ve received at the service of the Church’s mission since the sheep at my parish, “They have been scattered over all the face of the earth and no-one misses them, no-one calls them back – no-one among the bad shepherds. No-one misses them – that is, no man does.“❓

“It is precisely the variety of contexts, and therefore of the needs of communities, that suggests that the local Churches, under the guidance of their pastors, and their groupings “in every great socio-cultural region” (AG 22), undertake with humility and confidence a creative discernment on which ministries that they must recognize, entrust or institute to respond to pastoral and societal needs.; hence, since the shepherd, Bishop Zurek, is aborting the Eucharist and confessions at St. Mary’s Cathedral for the sake of his priests’ health and spirituality, haven’t the sheep, instead of planning, “in the light of the Spirit pastoral projects that go beyond the mere programming of activities“, scattered among the crowd at the ballparks in order to have their pastoral and societal needs filled; therefore, how can it be arrogance if God uses me to call the sheep back, and even if I am, can it not be said that, “When the arrogant man is punished, the simple are the wiser;“❓
“Therefore, criteria and ways to carry out this discernment must be defined.“; however, whenever Bishop Zurek or his rector are not around or even refuse to provide me with the criteria or ways to carry out the discernment of my ministry, am I not left on my own saying, “Guide me, Lord, in the way of your commands.“❓
Alleluia, alleluia,
“Reflection must also consider how to entrust baptismal ministries (non-instituted and instituted) at a time when people move from one place to another with increasing ease, specifying the times and areas of their exercise.“; yet, at this time I have no plans to leave “the few” and join the crowd at St. Mary’s Cathedral or elsewhere, but if hear otherwise, I pray that I do as I’m told since, “Blessed are those who hear the word of God and observe it.“❓
Alleluia, alleluia

…similarly, if I don’t remain obsessed with following my call to blog about Bishop Zurek’s bad shepherding, then wouldn’t that crowd out my ability to grow in a deeper trust in the action of the Spirit, since I was hearing the word of God, but not acting on it; moreover, then I truly would be wanting to join Jesus,…
…”but were unable to join him because of the crowd.“❓
