When is Bishop Zurek going to tell the Diocese of Amarillo that he already has us in the process of building a residence for our next bishop; indeed, when the Holy Father accepts his resignation, doesn’t Bishop Zurek want to tell our new bishop, “I’m not leaving, and the current bishop residence where I live has been upgraded to my elegant standards and will remain mine; furthermore, the doors to my house are closed to you, and if you do not like this arrangement then why don’t you just go to…the other bishop’s residence that I had the Diocese of Amarillo build for you⁉️

“Contrasting data emerged from the synodal process concerning the exercise of the ordained ministry within the People of God“; similarly, will not Bishop Zurek provide us with contrasting explanations as to why he did not tell the faithful in the Diocese of Amarillo about his building of a new bishop’s residence; indeed, will he not say the money for this project was donated specifically for this project and he has no choice; however, has not this bishop, if not his predecessors, shown that they certainly have the choice to take donations earmarked for the poor and use it for projects “imbued with clericalism”; consequently, am I not now “called to deal with the weight of” money that has been given to “those forms of exercising authority on which the different types of abuse are grafted” by calling for Bishop Zurek to use a synodal process to choose whether he builds another bishop’s residence, convinces the donor to build him a private home elsewhere; simply gives the money back to the donor or transfers the donation to those previously robbed by clericalism such as our Catholic Schools since, as Saint Vincent de Paul wrote in today’s Office, “It is our duty to prefer the service of the poor to everything else and to offer such service as quickly as possible“❓
“On the one hand, the joy, commitment and dedication of bishops, priests and deacons in carrying out their service were emphasized; on the other hand, they have spoken of a certain fatigue, linked above all to a sense of isolation, loneliness, being cut off from healthy and sustainable relationships, and of being overwhelmed by the demand to provide answers to every need“; nevertheless, as he is nearing the end of his Episcopacy, does not Bishop Zurek owe his successor the dignity of experiencing his own Episcopacy without being under the shadow of a former bishop’s clericalism; moreover, doesn’t our next bishop have the God given right to decide when it’s “a time to tear down, and a time to build“; also, by not wanting to tell his flock of his plans, isn’t our shepherd denying us our God given freedom to decide when it is, “a time to be silent, and a time to speak“❓
“This can be one of the toxic effects of clericalism“; namely, not consulting with our next bishop and “the People of God” in the Diocese of Amarillo about building another bishop residence; indeed, doesn’t such lack of consultation hinder us from building a Church in which each person can tell others, “Blessed be the Lord, my Rock!“❓

In particular, the figure of the bishop is frequently overloaded with unrealistic expectations of what a single person can reasonably achieve“; therefore, why would Bishop Zurek not tell us of his expectations for our next bishop unless he has forgotten that, “The Son of Man came to serve and to give his life as a ransom for many“❓

…similarly, will I doggedly uphold the myth of progress towards our mission in the Diocese of Amarillo, and tell others that our problems will solve themselves simply with the coming of a new bishop and without any need for ethical considerations or deep change within a current bishop who, when questioned by some about his having two bishop residences in the Diocese of Amarillo, responded with clericalism as,…
…”He rebuked them and directed them not to tell this to anyone.“❓
