Saturday of the Twenty-seventh Week in Ordinary Time

From the St. Mary’s Directory circa 1965

How should I answer family and friends who observe what I’m doing and then call out and say to me, “You are being carried away with these postings about Bishop Zurek; indeed, blessed as you are from “the womb” with such good parents, shouldn’t you be more like them and just ‘begin again…Let your friends on Facebook see and hear a message of love and humility’ and ‘let God worry about Zurek and be at peace’;…

…therefore, should I “Just Stop Praying” that our new bishop, “Just Says No” to living in the house built by Bishop Zurek❓

From Luke 11:27-28

XVI ORDINARY GENERAL ASSEMBLY

OF THE SYNOD OF BISHOPS
How to be a missionary synodal Church
Instrumentum laboris
Part I – Relations
Between the Churches and in the world: the concreteness of communion
50.

Dialogue between religions and with cultures is not external to the synodal journey but is part of its call to live closer relations, given that “At all times and in every nation whoever fears God and does what is right is acceptable to God”“; accordingly, could not my dialogue here be a synodal journey to living closer relations of which I am called; furthermore, even though what I am doing may not be acceptable to family and friends, if I am doing it because I fear God, and it is what my conscience says is right, then isn’t it “acceptable to God”; hence, for those reasons, could I not be doing this so “that we might be justified by faith“❓

Therefore, the exchange of gifts is not limited to the Christian Churches because an authentic Catholicity broadens the horizon and calls for the willingness to embrace those factors that promote life, peace, justice, and integral human development present in other cultures and religious traditions.; consequently, how can I be an authentic Catholic for other cultures and religious traditions if I don’t first broaden the horizons that my parents handed on to me by embracing those factors that promote life, peace, justice and integral human development in my own parish and with my own bishop, whom I observe has a differing view of the Christian Life; moreover, is this not the way that I discover that, “The Lord will remember his covenant for ever“❓

Alleluia, alleluia,
Finally, is it better that I observe how blessed I am to have had the parents I had and to live as they did; or rather should I remember that “Blessed are those who hear the word of God and observe it“❓
Alleluia, alleluia

Pope Benedict XVI observed that the world cannot be analyzed by isolating only one of its aspects, since “the book of nature is one and indivisible”, and includes the environment, life, sexuality, the family, social relations, and so forth“;…

…so, shouldn’t I begin again today to let my friends on Facebook observe a message of love for Bishop Zurek and our next bishop by willing what my conscience tells me is the good for them and the Church they shepherd by praying with humility’ before a disapproving crowd that our new bishop, “Just Says NO❣️” to living in the house that Zurek built;  then, can I not  ‘let God worry about Bishop Zurek and be at peace’ because, have I not done all I could to…

…hear the word of God and observe it“❓
