Twenty-eighth Sunday in Ordinary Time

Should I allow myself to be consumed by what my conscience says is Jesus’s call to deal with Bishop Zurek’s “forms of exercising authority on which the different types of abuse are grafted,” such as when he built a new bishop’s residence for our next bishop without any “consultation of the People of God“;…

…or can I walk away from continually posting about praying that our new bishop, “Just Says No”, to living in a house built by Zurek and just live the rest of my life being a good commandment follower…

…without being sad❓

From Mark 10: 17-30

XVI ORDINARY GENERAL ASSEMBLY

OF THE SYNOD OF BISHOPS
How to be a missionary synodal Church
Instrumentum laboris
Part II – Pathways

“A synodal Church is a relational Church in which interpersonal dynamics form the fabric of the life of a mission-oriented community, whose life unfolds within increasingly complex contexts“; however, isn’t it sad that in the diocese of Amarillo, Bishop Zurek seems to “be afraid to listen to the Flock entrusted to” him and so keeps things simple by ignoring the synodal process and thus rules over us with “scepter and throne“❓

Defrocked priest and convicted pedophile John Salazar raised this monument in honor of our former bishop who said he “was never sorry, even after Salazar was convicted of sexually abusing children in our diocese, that” he went against a Cardinal bishop’s warnings that he should not hire Salazar because he was “seriously disordered” and his hiring was putting parishioners and the church “at grave risk.”

Isn’t it sad that Bishop Zurek allows this monument to remain❓

“The approach proposed here does not separate but grasps the links between experiences, allowing us to learn from reality, which is reread in the light of the Word of God, from Tradition, from prophetic witnesses, and also reflects on mistakes made; consequently, isn’t Bishop Zurek not wanting to dealing with the “serious mistake” made in the Diocese of Amarillo reason for me to be so sad that it is difficult for me to simply be good and pray “Fill us with your love, O Lord, and we will sing for joy!“❓

Moreover, doesn’t Bishop Zurek believe he will not be sad as long as he can convince his flock that the “Christian Life” grants him the “privilege of an exclusive position of power and separation” which allows him to keep what he is doing hidden from his flock; but how can I happily accept that when “everything is naked and exposed to the eyes of him to whom we must render an account“❓

Alleluia, alleluia,
Therefore, if I want to avoid being sad, must I not remember that, “Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.“❓
Alleluia, alleluia

“It is a return to that simplicity which allows us to stop and appreciate the small things, to be grateful for the opportunities which life affords us, to be spiritually detached from what we possess, and not to succumb to sadness for what we lack“;…

…so, even though there are those that read my posts and comment that it is so sad that I have “given up everything” to post about Bishop Zurek’s clericalism by continually praying that our new bishop, “Just Says NO❣️” to living in the house that Zurek built, should those statements cause my face to fall and give me reason to walk away from what my conscience tells me is following Jesus; indeed, wouldn’t I then be giving those who comment on my posting reason to reply…

“…and he went away sad,…“❓
