Will I renew my commitment to the mission of St. Mary’s Cathedral, “today by practicing synodality, which is an expression of the Church’s nature“; or will I allow myself to be fascinated by the seductions of spiritual worldliness and Bishop Zurek’s clericalism, which would have me showing, “an incredible sense of Reverence for the Deacons, Priests and especially for the Bishops ❓

We lose the capacity to realize “I, as a lay person, do not always have all the knowledge”; while it is quite probable that the deacon, priest or bishop has a much fuller picture of what is actually happening.
From a letter from Bishop Patrick J. Zurek to the Faith Community at St. Mary’s Cathedral, Amarillo.
Today’s Office of the Readings
“Growing as missionary disciples means answering Jesus’ call to follow Him, responding to the gift we received when we were baptized in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit”; accordingly, shouldn’t I, as a lay person who doesn’t have as full of picture as a deacon, priest or bishop of what is actually happening, “be very happy to make my weaknesses my special boast so that the power of Christ may stay over me,… for it is when I am weak that I am strong“; conversely, is it any credit to Bishop Zurek if he simply loves the good among his disciples who have an incredible sense of Reverence for the Deacons, Priests and especially for the Bishops like him; indeed, shouldn’t His Excellency seek also to tame the more troublesome, like me, with gentleness by holding services more frequently and calling everyone to them by name;…

…moreover, once St. Mary’s Cathedral discovers that synodality means learning to accompany each other as a pilgrim people journeying through history towards a common destination, the heavenly city, “Perhaps they will listen and turn back“, from Bishop Zurek’s clericalism;…

Does Bishop Zurek realize he speaking about what happens when someone attends Mass with clericalism, not synodality❓
Today’s Alleluia
…Alleluia, alleluia;
…subsequently, “The salvation to be received and borne witness to is relational since no one is saved alone; or rather, using the words offered by an Asian Episcopal Conference, we grow gradually in our awareness that “Synodality is not simply a goal, but a journey of all the faithful, to be accomplished together hand in hand, because, “The word of the Lord remains forever;
this is the word that has been proclaimed to you“;
Alleluia, alleluia.…
Today’s Gospel
…thus, “this is why understanding its full meaning takes time” (CE Bangladesh).[2] St Augustine speaks of the Christian life as a pilgrimage in solidarity, a walking together “towards God not in steps, but with the affections” (Augustine, Discourse 306 B, 1), sharing a life of prayer, proclamation and love of neighbour; similarly, “If we are truly concerned to develop an ecology capable of remedying the damage we have done, no branch of the sciences and no form of wisdom can be left out, and that includes religion and the language particular to it“; so, if St. Mary’s Cathedral is to accomplish its mission, can Bishop Zurek keep saying that “I, as a lay person”, need to realize that I don’t have the capacity to, “get such wisdom“❓
