Will my conscience have to “Be opened!” by Bishop Strickland since Bishop Zurek is “deaf…and…mute” about a proposed ordinance in the Diocese of Amarillo, “that would declare Amarillo a ‘sanctuary city for the unborn’ and ban people from helping patients travel through Amarillo to access abortions – what the ordinance calls ‘abortion trafficking'”, as well as “ban people from possessing or distributing abortion pills within Amarillo city limits” ❓
“Many of the demands expressed” in previous blogs about the “active participation of women in all ecclesial spheres” also apply to laymen, whose lack of participation in the life of the Church is often lamented“; subsequently, even now, as the laity wants, “to ask” Bishop Zurek “for a word” that will “keep nothing back from” us about the proposed “abortion trafficking” ban in our Diocese of Amarillo, hasn’t His Excellency’s muteness shown that he is unaware that, “The faith of those who live their faith is a serene faith”, and that, “What you long for will” NOT “be given you; what you love will” NOT “be yours” while I’m bishop❓
“In general, reflection on the role of women often highlights the desire to strengthen all the ministries exercised by the laity (men and women)“; accordingly, hasn’t Bishop Strickland, since Pope Francis has left him without a diocese of his own, seen fit to, “Say to those whose hearts are frightened:” in the Diocese of Amarillo
Be strong, fear not!“, since Bishop Zurek has no intention of speaking such words himself❓
“Praise the Lord, my soul!“, for isn’t, “There…also a call for adequately trained lay men and women to contribute to preaching the Word of God, including during the celebration of the Eucharist“, especially since Bishop Zurek regularly aborts Daily Eucharist to save the health and spirituality of his priests❓
So why, “Alleluia, alleluia“, is Bishop Zurek leaving it up to Bishop Strickland to tell us that,
“Jesus proclaimed the Gospel of the kingdom
and cured every disease among the people“,
“Alleluia, alleluia“❓
“The Catholic Church is open to dialogue with philosophical thought; this has enabled her to produce various syntheses between faith and reason“, but if Bishop Zurek’s idea of dialogue is the reposting of a reflection that tells us nothing about the proposed “abortion trafficking” ordinance that has made our diocese, ” a ground zero for fights over abortion“, then will we have to turn to Bishop Strickland to inform our consciences❓
So, should the people of the Diocese of Amarillo look to Jesus in prayer and bring to him a deaf bishop who has “a speech impediment”
and beg him “to lay his hand on him“; or should we turn to a bishop who hears our cries and is not mute about our proposed “abortion trafficking” ordinance, but has also openly accused Pope Francis of having a “program of undermining the Deposit of Faith“❓
