“A synodal Church in mission is grounded in the ability to listen, which requires recognising that no one is self-sufficient in the Church’s mission and that everyone has a contribution to offer and something to learn from others. Formation in listening is, therefore, an essential initial requirement.“; however, who is Bishop Zurek listening to when he allows a “serious mistake” to be blasphemously memorialized, criticizes those who report abuse, or literally “puts a brother bishop in his place” before he even arrives; consequently, should not these things give me reason to cry out as St. John de Brébeuf did in today’s Office❓
