“The purpose of formation in the perspective of missionary synodality is to form witnesses, that is: men and women capable of assuming the mission of the Church in co-responsibility and cooperation with the power of the Spirit (Acts 1:8).“; subsequently, could not my purpose in writing this blog be not so much asking my bishop to do anything, but rather to become a formed witness that is “capable of assuming the mission of the Church“, so that “the will of the LORD shall be accomplished through him.“❓
“Formation is therefore based on the dynamism of Christian initiation, aiming to promote the personal experience of encounter with the Lord that entails a process of continuously converting our attitudes, relationships, mentality, and structures.“; accordingly, each day that I reflect here, am I not promoting a “personal experience of encounter” that leads me to asking, “Lord, let your mercy be on us, as we place our trust in you.“❓
“The subject of mission is always the Church, and each of its members is a witness and herald of salvation by virtue of Baptism.“; therefore, each day am I not becoming more aware of the Lord asking me to be “a witness and herald of salvation” despite my not holding “an exclusive position of power“, “For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses,“❓

“The Eucharist, “the source and culmination of all Christian life” (LG 11), is the fundamental context of our formation in synodality.“; consequently, through the daily reception of the Eucharist and writing of this blog, is it not too much to be asking Jesus that each day I become more like, “The Son of Man (who) came to serve and to give his life as a ransom for many.“❓
