…subsequently, didn’t Bishop Zurek ask himself, ‘What shall I do,
for I do not want to move out of the space in which I’ve stored the harvest from my Episcopacy?’…

An integral and shared formation

“In a synodal Church, formation must be integral. Indeed, it not only aims at acquiring various ideas, beliefs or skills but also at promoting the capacity for encounter, sharing, cooperation, and discernment in common.“; accordingly, is not the acquiring of “various ideas, beliefs or skills but also…promoting the capacity for encounter, sharing, cooperation, and discernment in common” the reasons I blog each day; however, would I not be a fool if I didn’t tell myself that any treasure I obtain in this process is “by grace (for) you have been saved through faith, and this is not from you; it is the gift of God“❓

“Formation must, therefore, engage all the dimensions of the human person: intellectual, affective, and spiritual. It cannot remain a purely theoretical formation but must include concrete experiences and meaningful accompaniment.“; consequently, is that not why I apply “concrete experiences” of sins against synodality to my formation, i.e., a memorial to a “serious mistake“, a letter that denounces “a few” that reported clerical abuse, and a bishop’s residence built for a bishop who had no say in the matter; furthermore, by combining Instrumentum laboris with Lectio divina, am I not including the treasure of meaningful accompaniment as well since, “The Lord made us, we belong to him.“❓

The work of Study Group 3 is devoted to the digital culture and the promotion of relevant formation in this field.“; finally, since there is currently no access to “this path of synodality” in the Diocese of Amarillo, is it not “equally important to foster knowledge of…the digital culture, which has become widespread“, while always keeping in mind, in regards to the treasure of social media communication, that, “Blessed are the poor in spirit; for theirs is the Kingdom of heaven.“❓
